Backstairs Passage, early crossing
This painting is acrylic on linen on a wooden stretcher frame.
The linen sides of the painting have been painted in a neutral grey. It is unframed.
The painting is ready to hang. It is one of my large works, measuring 60cm in height and 90cm in length.
It captures the churning roll of the ferry’s wake as it makes the crossing between Cape Jervis on the mainland and Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Geographically, this stretch of water is known as Backstairs Passage.
