Shoreline clash

An inside look at this year’s calendar – this time the February wave painting!

This painting is “Shoreline clash”.  A photograph taken from Brighton jetty inspired me to explore the scene further.

Saltwater Series 1, shown at a gallery in North Adelaide in 2011 included Shoreline clash. Happily some friendly buyers loved it!

I still enjoy seeing its colour and feeling its energy.
To me the colours highlight the contrast between sea and shore. At times those two seem like natural companions but this time they were more like clashing partners.

It’s a strange feeling to look closely at all these works again. It takes me back in my mind to an earlier focus.
A good focus I think! What about you?
